PlatformWhat is GuideMe?

GuideMe is a free digital vocational training discovering platform that helps Sri Lankan students discover NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) training courses offered by TVEC-registered institutions across all 25 districts of Sri Lanka. The platform makes official TVEC data searchable, filterable, and accessible on any device — covering 3,191 TVEC accredited courses at 1,700 registered training centres. GuideMe is operated by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), the national authority for tertiary and vocational education established under Act No. 20 of 1990.

DevelopmentDevelopment & Support

Together with TVEC, the GIZ Vocational Training Project in Sri Lanka supported the development and deployment of the GuideMe platform. The Vocational Training in Sri Lanka (VTSL) project is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and is co-funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA).

MissionOur Mission

GuideMe was created to close the information gap between vocational training opportunities and the people who need them most. By empowering Sri Lankans with searchable, location-aware access to official TVEC data, GuideMe helps students, job seekers, and career changers make informed decisions about their training and career paths — regardless of where they live.

PrivacyData & Privacy

All course data on GuideMe is sourced directly from the official TVEC register at nvq.gov.lk. GuideMe collects personal data only when you register — your name, district, and career preferences — to match you with nearby NVQ courses. We do not use advertising cookies or share your data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy prepared under Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act 2022.
